Course Description

This course will help students to understand the progresses and lessons learnt of social innovations and leadership in China in recent years. The course will cover many areas of social development in China and probably many other countries in the world, such as social investment, poverty alleviation, rural revitalization, education, healthcare,environment protection, aging issue and income distributions and shared prosperities etc. Using many real cases in China and some with my own experience, the course will explore how social innovations, especially those digitalized innovations and AI technologies, are changing those most difficult social areas in China. Project Based Learning (PBL) method will be applied in the class. Students are expected to form groups to address one real social issue they have discovered.

本课程将帮助学生深入了解近年来中国在社会创新和领导力领域的发展和教训。课程内容涉及以下的社会发展领域：社会价值投资、脱贫攻坚、乡村振兴、教育、医疗、环保、老龄化以及收入分配和共同富裕等领域。本课程通过大量的实际案例和教授亲身的经历来说明中国是如何利用数字化,人工智能和其它高新科技等创新手段去解决各种社会难题，并取得了一定的效果的。本课程还将采取项目制学习的方式。每个学生要参加一个小组去尝试解决一个他们发现的真实中国社会问题。
