Join Yao Song for a discussion on commercial space opportunities and China’s technology entrepreneurship in the age of digitalization and innovation. The discussion will be in English and followed by an open Q&A with the attendees.

Speaker Introduction 嘉宾介绍
At the age of 24, Yao Song co-founded the AI start-up DeePhi Tech, developing deep-learning platforms and providing AI solutions integrating software and chips for autonomous driving, cloud computing and others. DeePhi Tech was valued at roughly $300 million and later acquired by Xilinx in 2018. Currently, Yao Song serves as the Co-CEO of OrienSpace. Founded in 2020, the private commercial space launch firm develops medium-class orbital launch vehicle “Gravity-1”, which will make its first flight in the second half of this year. “Gravity-1” has already received hundreds of satellite launch service orders, and has been shortlisted for a number of satellite network launch plans. Yao Song graduated from Tsinghua University’s Department of Electrical Engineering in 2015.

Who can attend this event?
This event is open to currently enrolled Tsinghua University students, both undergraduate and graduate, as well as current Tsinghua University faculty and staff. This event has 150 seats open for Tsinghua University classmates and colleagues.
What is required to join this event?
All guests must present a valid registration from this website (Bag Event 百格活动)as well as a valid Tsinghua University ID Card in order to access Schwarzman College for this event.

Entering and Exiting the Schwarzman College
Registered attendees can enter Schwarzman College 30 minutes before the session begins. For this session, doors open at 6:30 pm. No attendees will be admitted after 7:25 pm.
Following the conclusion of this event, Schwarzman College is closed to visitors as it is a residential building (student dorm). We ask that all Tsinghua classmates and colleagues who join us for the session exit the building when our session concludes at around 8:15 pm. All guests' cooperation is greatly appreciated.
